Suzlon receive order to supply 12.6 MW through six Suzlon S88 2.1 MW wind turbines, this is the first order with partner Technomash Bulgarian Industrial Group.
Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation, a leading wind power company based in India, has penetrated the Bulgarian market. The wind turbine manufacturer was recently awarded the contract to sell six units of S88-2.1MW wind turbine units to Technomash Bulgarian Industrial Group.
Suzlon will supply and install all six of the said turbines, each having a capacity of 2.1 megawatts. It, will have a total capacity of 12.6 megawatts. This delivery is for a project being developed on in the province of Dobrich in the northeastern part of Bulgaria. Delivery of the wind turbines will transpire within 2009 to 2010. Suzlon, however, did not disclose any financial-related details.
Suzlon is the sixth-largest wind turbine manufacturer (by volume) in the world based on 2008 data.
This order from Bulgaria will be the third for Suzlon this month after its subsidiary, Suzlon Energy Limited, had received repeat orders for wind turbines from Honiton Energy Group in China and K S Oils, which is another Indian company
